Quiet Waters Caravan Park
Cambridgeshire is notable for delightful villages, set in picturesque locations, and Hemingford Abbots situated adjoining the Great Ouse River, is no exception.
Quiet Waters Caravan Park has been in the same family for over 70 years and is currently run by Linda Coulson, granddaughter of the first owner, and her husband Tony, who lives on the site along with their son and daughter.
The quiet, peaceful spot occupies 5 acres by the banks of the Great Ouse, and in addition to touring caravans, motor homes and tents there are luxury caravans for hire (up to 6 births, with 2 separate bedrooms) with parking alongside. Four of these caravans overlook the river, the remaining have park views. There are excellent toilet and shower facilities and laundry room maintained to a very high standard. Also Quiet Waters is a residential mobile home park, offering 35 retirement homes with all amenities.
The site offers angling and boating facilities, including rowing boats for hire from our own banks, and country walks and cycling routes available from the park. A golf course can be found within one mile.
Hemingford Abbots is a delightful village, containing beautiful thatched cottages and dominated by St Margaret's Church. A short walk from the park, takes you to the local Inn, offering excellent meals and service. The new village hall hosts many attractions during the summer months; the flower festival every two years is a major event for the villagers.
Our nearest town is the lovely riverside market town of St Ives, offering a museum, recreation centre and many shops and restaurants. The manor at Hemingford Grey is reputedly the oldest inhabited house in England, built around 1130. Also visit the historic cathedral cities of Ely; Peterborough and Bury St Edmunds, and the famous university city of Cambridge, with the war museum of Duxford are all with easy reach from Hemingford Abbots. With London less than one hour by train.
So for a break and a peaceful chance to relax, then join the Coulson family at Hemingford Abbots.

Yarwell Mill Caravan Park
Yarwell Mill is a picturesque static, touring and tenting holiday park nestling in the Nene Valley.
An ideal base for exploring the locality or just relaxing by the lake or river. Fishing available.
Yarwell Mill Caravan and Camping Park is set in peaceful Northamptonshire countryside, is bordered by the river Nene and provides excellent fishing facilities for guests. Located only six miles from the picturesque town of Stamford, there are many scenic walks and quiet villages to explore.
Yarwell Mill is a 27 acre campsite with capacity for 120 touring caravans and a similar number of tents. The large tenting field is spacious with plenty of room between tents for privacy or kicking a football around with the kids. In the middle of the site is a 5 acre lake stocked and available for fishing by those staying on the site. The River Nene runs round the perimeter of the site, moorings for cruisers and narrow boats are available along its banks and course fishing is available in season.
Yarwell lock can be found on the site, where boats pass through upstream to Oundle and downstream to Peterborough and the fens. The site contains Yarwell Mill, a Grade II listed building, still with the millstream running under the building.
Through the delightful Nene Park, from the eastern terminus at Peterborough, past the Railway's headquarters at Wansford Station, into the haunted Wansford tunnel and finally to the tranquil setting of Yarwell Junction.
The nearby village of Nassington has two pubs serving excellent food. Head to the village of Fotheringhay, steeped in history, see thatched cottages and Prebendal Manor the earliest house still surviving in Northamptonshire.

Ferry Meadows Caravan Club Site
Probably the perfect family holiday site. Level and open, and ideally located in a Country Park with steam trains, lake, cycle & walking trails and every kind of sporting facility laid on. There's a super watersports centre for sailing and windsurfing, and coarse fishing may be had in the lakes. There are also two golf courses, bird hides by the river, and no less than 60 miles of cycleways, all off-road even to the town centre. If outdoor sports are rained off, there's still plenty to do indoors in Peterborough itself, with ice or roller skating, indoor pool, bowling alley, cinema, theatre, tennis, badminton and snooker, and to top it all a 6 acre shopping complex which would take some beating.
Important Information
Please note that the East Side of the site is having it's toilet block refurbished and we are waiting confirmation of an opening date.
