The campsite nestles in a fold at the foot of the Tennyson Downs close to the home of the poet laureate after whom they were named. Enjoying lovely views across open farmland yet close to local amenities - the local country pub is directly across the road.

Our situation makes Stoats Farm an ideal base for enjoying the walking, cycling and touring for which the West Wight has become famous throughout the world. The Island is perfect for holidays with all the family and we are proud that many of our visitors return to us year after year.

We have ample accommodation for tents, caravans and camper vans and the campsite offers all of the facilities expected by today's experienced enthusiasts.

The Park takes its name from the 17th century thatched barn at the parks entrance. Nowadays the barn is used as a games and TV room.

Landscaping has provided the park with 60 sheltered pitches all with hard road access and electrical hookup. Individual secluded super pitches are available with water mains drainage and electricity.

We welcome tents, motorhomes, touring caravans and trailer tents.

The fully tiled toilet block has individual cubicles in the ladies for extra privacy. The spacious showers have ample room to change etc and accept 20p coins.

Dogs on leads are welcomed and from your spacious pitch you can venture into the countryside on many walks surrounding the park.

At the parks reception, you will find ample information on numerous places of interest, beaches and countryside activities that the island has to offer. A freezer pack exchange is available using our ice packs. We stock camping and calor gas.

A splendid out of town supermarket and petrol station is only a 1/4 mile away.

A 5-minute drive will bring you to either Sandown or Shanklin with their lovely sandy beaches and seaside entertainment.

To make things easier for you we can arrange a complete package including ferry and camping fees from either Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington.

Roebeck Camping and Caravan Park, is situated on the outskirts of Ryde, Isle of Wight. Set in over 10 acres of well-drained farmland, the park has views over Ashey valley and downland beyond. The toilet block is maintained to high standard with disabled facilities.

Our touring park is well located between the sandy beaches of Ryde and Sandown and other Island attractions are easily accessible either by car or bus. There are bus stops just outside Whitefield Forest Touring Park which will take you in either direction towards Sandown or Ryde.

We are situated in an area which has a number of public footpaths and bridal ways allowing access to the surrounding countryside and coastline allowing our guests to enjoy a variety of walks or cycle rides.

Our touring park is unique to the island with its forest setting and terraced pitches. Many of our guests have described our toilet and shower block as 'luxury!' Heathfield Farm Camping is a small family park in the rural West Wight on the outskirts of Freshwater village. Less than two miles from Yarmouth ferry port, we are situated in the heart of the most magnificent walking countryside.

The West Wight has some of the Islands most spectacular scenery. On a clear day the views from the National Trust's Tennyson Down are breathtaking. The Needles and Alum Bay, famous for it's coloured sands, is only two miles away. Nearby the historic harbour town of Yarmouth is ideal for sailing enthusiasts.

Half of the Island is a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and much of the seashore is Heritage Coast. There are 67 miles of spectacularly varied coastline, offering chalk and sandstone cliffs, rocky coves and sandy beaches. The Island is established as a walkers paradise with over 500 miles of well signposted footpaths, and many miles of rural cycle track.

In the past the Island has been a retreat for many famous people including Queen Victoria at Osborne House and Keats at Bonchurch. Freshwater Bay attracted both Poet Laureate Lord Tennyson and the pioneering Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron.

A short walk leads you to the safe and sandy beach of Colwell and the adjoining bay of Totland. Whilst these beaches appeal to sunseekers and those interested in building sandcastles or exploring rock pools, the nearby beaches of Compton and Brook are ideal for surfing and fossil hunting.

Grange Farm Brighstone Bay, is situated on the South West coast of the Isle of Wight, approximately 6 miles from Freshwater Bay to the west, and 10 miles from Ventnor to the east. The picturesque village of Brighstone lies half a mile to the north. The whole area is idea for fishing, fossil hunting and cycling, a walkers paradise. There is good access to our sandy beach which is safe for swimming and un-crowded with unpolluted fresh sea air!

Our aim is to provide a quiet view of the countryside for peace-loving tourers for overnight stays.

We are just outside Ryde, overlooking green farmland down the valley to the Solent and its sailing boats. Down the valley to the Solent's sailing dinghies and yachts
The view often includes horses, ducks, pheasant, rabbits, a cat or two, cows in the distance. At times, the local steam train can be heard blowing on the whistle.

This site will suit the older couple, a get-away gang, or family with very young children. We have a car-park with a firm surface, good turning circle and easy access from a quiet 'C' road So there need be no danger of getting bogged down if the weather turns wet. Motorhomes and caravans are equally welcomed.
