Riverside Caravan Park
Riverside Caravan Park is centrally situated for touring the Highlands and local beaches. It is situated a short driving distance from the Moray coast, where there are beautiful sheltered beaches of white sand, rocky headlands and idyllic fishing villages. The area is often referred to as the "Scottish Riveria" because of its dry and generally mild climate. After the coastal plain the land rises to the foothills of the Cairngorms, Aviemore, with its all year round holiday and leisure complex is within easy driving distance as are the distilleries of Speyside.
The City and Royal Burgh of Elgin is a market town and tourist centre, with many modern shops and restaurants. It is best known for its ruined 13th Century cathedral which is acknowledged to be one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in Scotland. The Cooper Park, which is located nearby, boasts a children's playground, boating pond, bowling and putting greens, tennis courts, cricket pitch and an aviary. There is also a museum, Cinema and Leisure Centre, with Swimming Pool and Gym and Ice Rink. For those interested in fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout, permits can be arranged for the River Lossie. There are excellent 18 hole golf courses at Elgin, Lossiemouth, Forres, Garmouth and Hopeman. Other sports include sailing, windsurfing and water ski-ing at Findhorn, pony trekking, hill walking, tennis and bowling. For those not so energetic the Park is ideally situated for picturesque walks along the River Lossie and in the nearby woodlands.
The park is situated opposite a hotel with a bar and restaurant, we are also within walking distance of the town centre.
The park is under the personal supervision of John and Christine Mitchell, proprietors since 1998. Whatever your requirements they will be happy to advise and assist you and make your stay as enjoyable as they can, they look forward to meeting you
