Kielder Water Caravan Club Site
A fabulous site for an active holiday, with some pitches overlooking Kielder Water, the largest man-made lake in Western Europe, and backed by trees. It's a haven of peace and quiet. There is no need to leave the area to find every kind of outdoor sport, from the water-based varieties (indoor swimming pool and licensed restaurant 5 minutes walk from the site), through pony-trekking, horse riding at Kielder and Otterburn and orienteering to bird watching, cycling (bicycle hire available nearby), crazy golf and just plain walking. For the youngsters there's an adventure playground just outside the site. Yet despite this hive of activity there's marvellous quietude, and if you watch carefully you'll see shy deer and even red squirrels. Note: Midges can be troublesome Jun-Aug - an insect repellent is advised.

Nunnykirk Caravan Club Site
Peace and tranquillity reign at this attractive site, making it a haven for wildlife and a bird watcher's paradise. Hill walkers will enjoy the splendours of the nearby Simonside Hills. A place where you can breathe fresh air, feel space and open countryside around you and slough off the troubles of the everyday world. All is peace - and yet this countryside has seen some of the hardest-fought border battles in our history. The Romans had their border conflicts too, and you can see how they solved them with Hadrian's Wall, in the south of the county.
Important Information
The Site can not take Motor Homes over 28 feet in length.
