Greendale Farm Park
Greendale Farm Park is a quality site, with fantastic facilities, yet only 15 pitches! Surrounded by farmland & rolling countryside, Greendale has developed into a quiet adult only site geared to those wanting a calm and relaxing stay. A friendly welcome is certain!
We are a short walk from the village of Whissendine where good food is available with two pubs and a bistro/coffee shop/ delicatessen. There is also a working windmill renowned for its organic flour.
Greendale is an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching, art, eating out, heritage, Barnsdale Gardens and of course Rutland Water. This huge scenic reservoir has nature reserves, famous for the osprey project; water sports; fly fishing; cycle-routes & more, with attractive stone villages nearby.
Rutland is the smallest County of England & an ideal place to relax & rediscover yourself. Famous not just for Rutland Water but also its countryside, tranquillity, cuisine, lifestyle & heritage. If you don't know Rutland be prepared to be pleasantly surprised!
Greendale is 6 miles from Rutland Water, 4 miles from Oakham & 6 miles from Melton Mowbray. Lying halfway between London & York, Rutland is found in the middle of Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln & Peterborough.
For each of the last four years the facilities have been improved. Greendale has the advantage of being small, only fifteen pitches, yet superb facilities with well maintained pitches. The friendly ambience encourages many people to return time and time again!
2004 saw both the total refurbishment of the toilet block, which is kept very clean, and solar panels fitted to heat the swimming pool.
We do not charge for showers and offer extras such as, on Sunday, a cooked breakfast. Our tourist information is extensive and we have a library with a good range of fiction. You can even make yourself a cup of tea or coffee whilst you are browsing.
The small shop covers basic produce and has built a reputation for superb dry cure bacon & local free-range eggs. Other items to watch for are village flour, honey, preserves and chutneys.

Wing Lakes Caravan & Camping
Wing Hall is a family-owned Estate in Rutland, England's smallest county and in the heart of the English countryside.
Wing Hall's camping and caravan site ocuppies spacious fields within the grounds of the Hall. The site has stunning views across the Rutland countryside and offers guests good, basic, facilities.
Intended to blend in with the character of the house rather than overwhelm it, development of the campsite is focused at providing facilities in a rural environment where the views and peaceful atmosphere are central points.
Facilities on-site include 14 toilets, 5 showers, 3 washing-up units and a small shop (opening Spring 2008), offering local specialities, basic 'essentials' and other goods.
From years of experience, we know that different people want different things from a campsite. We have tried to keep our site basic, offering good quality facilities (the majority of them new), in an un-spolit, relaxed environment. We are fortunate to have dozens of guests who return throughout each year as they find Wing relatively undeveloped, friendly and accommodating.
