An ideal site for families and those who want to enjoy the Peak District without the crowds. You'll want to take advantage of some of the best walking and most dramatic views in the Peak District. Tittesworth Reservoir and nature reserve is just a short walk away. The town of Leek with its splendid Victorian buildings, cobbled streets and selection of mill shops is only 3 miles away. Tittesworth Reservoir (1 mile) offers an adventure playground, nature reserve and a sensory garden for the blind and partially sighted. Only twenty minutes' drive from Buxton, Bakewell and Hartington, you are well placed for visits to the world famous Wedgwood, Spode & Royal Doulton potteries.

The site is situated in a prime Green Belt area in the Staffordshire Moorlands and is 6 miles from the City of Stoke-On-Trent and the town of Leek and is only 4 miles from the rural town of Cheadle.

The Anchor Inn is situated on the side of the Shropshire Union Canal approximately 4 miles from Newport (Shropshire). Run by the same family for over 100 years. This tiny inn still contains the original tables and settles with the beer still being fetched by jug straight from the cellar. An ideal base for visiting the surrounding area including Ironbridge, Bridgenorth, Shrewsbury and the potteries or just a perfect spot for a relaxing break. Nearby attractions include Cosford Aircraft Museum, Bridgemere Garden World, Western Park, Shugborough Hall and Alton Towers is approximately 50 minutes away. Stafford County Show Ground about 20 minutes away. Stafford in Bloom Winner 2002, 2003 and 2005, 2006, Gardener of the Year 2003. CAMRA pub of the year 2000, Pub of the Month Dec 2006 (Stafford and Stone Branch). Two fields one of which is a CL with hookups for Caravan Club members, the other is for camping and non Caravan Club members with 8 hookups for caravans.

A tranquil country site, so peaceful that it's hard to believe that you are less than 11 miles from the motorway network. Views from the site are over typical English farmland scenery towards The Wrekin and Shropshire hills. The narrow quiet lanes around the site are good cycling territory and ideal for strolls to the Shropshire Union Canal. Members who use the site as a stopover often end up staying a week or more to visit the many treats in the area, to enjoy the relaxed ambience of the site and to take in its history as a wartime RAF base. There are many attractions within easy reach including Ironbridge, Weston Park and the RAF Cosford Aerospace Museum. In addition, the Site has one of the Club's most extensive private dog walks - just perfect for your pooch!
